Gratitude
In the midst of uncertain times, one truth has become crystal clear: community matters more than ever. 🤎
This year BAR has continued to bring Black and queer creators together through the Sacred Story Salon and the Sweat Soul Sound Men’s Yoga workshop led by Cameron Forbes, to be more well, supported, and connected even as funding for the arts and wellness has tightened across the country.
What could have been a year of contraction became a year of deepened care and creative momentum. We’ve proven that collective healing and transformational storytelling don’t disappear when funds get cut they evolve into something more intentional and powerful.
We launched a crowdfunding campaign for Juneteenth and while we did not reach our goal we are so grateful to each and every one of you who believed in this work enough to support us.
So we want to take the time to acknowledge our individual donors who showed up with their dollars, their care, and their trust this year:

We would not have been able to hold, heal, and gather without you. Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for supporting each other. Thank you for supporting care.
Today, on #GivingTuesday, we honor you and also invite anyone who wants to invest in the wellness and creative power of Black and queer creators to join our constellation of support.
If our work has moved you, inspired you, or reminded you why storytelling and embodied wellness matter, please consider donating.
There is so much more unfolding in 2026.
Every single dollar helps. Every single share matters. Every single act of belief fuels the road ahead.
